Overview
ShellAccess ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS SSH client application.
Data Collection
ShellAccess is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All your data stays on your device.
Information Stored Locally
The following information is stored locally on your device:
- Server Configurations: Hostnames, usernames, ports, and connection settings
- SSH Keys: Private keys are stored securely in the iOS Keychain with optional Face ID/Touch ID protection
- Passwords: If you choose to save passwords, they are stored securely in the iOS Keychain
- App Preferences: Theme settings, terminal preferences, and other app configurations
- Connection History: Recent connections and favorites for quick access
Data Transmission
ShellAccess only transmits data directly to the SSH servers you configure. All connections are encrypted using the SSH2 protocol. We do not operate any intermediary servers, and your data never passes through our systems.
Third-Party Services
ShellAccess does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share any information with third parties.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your server configurations (excluding passwords and private keys) may be synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud service. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Security
We take security seriously:
- SSH keys and passwords are stored in the iOS Secure Enclave via Keychain
- Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection for sensitive data
- All network connections use encrypted SSH2 protocol
- No data is transmitted to our servers
Children's Privacy
ShellAccess is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
